Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Monitoring of Design Supplier (H/F) to join our Design Office based in Marignane, France.

Context
As a manufacturer of helicopters, Airbus Helicopters has to be compliant with regulations and especially regulations for Design Organization such as Part21J.
Airbus Helicopters subcontracts the design and the manufacturing of a lot of products to suppliers.
In this context, the team ‘Design Supplier Monitoring’ which takes part of the Engineering Quality team is in charge of monitoring those suppliers.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer for Suppliers your responsibilities are:
to ensure that the Equipment developed by our Suppliers is robust from the very start, and meets quality standards of safety and reliability.
to ensure suppliers are compliant with the Design Organization regulations
What type of work will you be doing?
In this role, you will:
Cascade the requirements from authority to suppliers through Requirements Applicable to Supplier's Design Organization" (so called RASDO)
Monitor the compliance with RASDO
Follow the development of equipment done by suppliers for civil and military helicopters
ensure that suppliers adhere to standard
help the supplier to solve issue
secure risk mitigation are in place
Improve the process continuously in order to be more resilient
In this role you will follow the development of civil and military helicopters and systems with stakeholders, bringing communication between Supplier and Airbus different departments and external authorities. You will directly interact and collaborate with our Suppliers and with internal departments such as Engineering, Innovation, Quality, Manufacturing.
Main tasks:
Preparation and performance of compliance audits at suppliers
Follow-up of corrective actions request with suppliers
Preparation and participation of Design Review with Engineering function and the supplier and ensure process adherence
Secure quality of the Supplier deliverables Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives in order to improve efficiency
Collaborate and interact with various departments and organizations, in particular with Engineer, Procurement, Helicopter Projects and Programs, and certification teams.
Monitoring the supplier with the Engineering function
Your profile :
At least 5 years of general experience in the aeronautical field
Skills in DO or PO Audit on EN9100 & part21
Good knowledge of EN 9100 & EASA Part21J
Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role and experience in Supplier monitoring
Good project management and experience in design reviews
Good knowledge in system development processes (V model, functional analysis)
Knowledge of configuration management principle
Good stakeholder management and communication skills and ability to work in international context with strong networking skills
Knowledge about Lean management is a plus
English: Negotiation level
Studies: Engineering degree
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
