Alta Ares is seeking a motivated Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join the Data & AI team. You will help develop end-to-end ML pipelines, train and evaluate vision models, and contribute to internal AI infrastructure and model lifecycle management.

Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in Python, ML, and data processing, with experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow, and familiarity with MLflow, DVC, and cloud platforms. Autonomy and collaboration are essential in our fast-paced setting.

• Model training: Improve and optimise training pipelines for computer vision tasks.
• Model evaluation: Develop evaluation frameworks using metrics like mAP, IoU, precision and recall; automate experiment tracking.
• Data management: Build reproducible workflows for dataset versioning, augmentation and preprocessing of large-scale image/video datasets.
• Model deployment: Contribute to deployment workflows for AI models on edge devices and embedded systems.
• Monitoring and reliability: Implement tools to monitor deployed models and assess robustness and performance.
• Documentation and collaboration: Work with the Data & AI team to document best practices and build scalable ML infrastructure.
