Job Description

MICE Sales Manager M/F/X

Represent Victoria Golf Resort & Spa as the voice and ambassador of the brand.

As a MICE Sales Manager, you will promote and sell the hotel, embodying its spirit of warm, elegant, and thoughtful service. Your organizational skills, creativity, and network will help craft tailored proposals and build lasting relationships, contributing to memorable guest experiences and impactful events.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Sales, key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to guests and clients
  • Conduct performance reviews post-probation and annually
  • Ensure compliance with PMP requirements
  • Generate revenue via in-house and external sales and events
  • Develop creative marketing and communication ideas to enhance the department
  • Identify and acquire new MICE clients
  • Attend trade shows, roadshows, and industry events to promote the brand
  • Create innovative events such as themed dinners, fashion shows, and charity events
  • Stay informed about regional events
  • Supervise proposals, billing, and event execution
  • Attend events to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain positive relationships with guests, suppliers, partners, and sales networks
  • Keep promotional materials up to date
  • Perform administrative tasks for the department
  • Develop action plans based on performance feedback
  • Train team members using Train The Trainer (TTT) methodology
  • Lead by example, applying LQA standards
  • Keep profile updated in INES
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar sales role, including 2 years in supervision
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written)
  • Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field is a plus
  • Knowledge of regional tourism landscape
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in MS Office; Opera Cloud knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Responsible, reliable, detail-oriented
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
