Just-Evotec Biologics is seeking a highly motivated Methods and Engineering Manager of Facilities & Engineering. This role offers an opportunity to improve global access to biotherapeutics. The candidate will report to the Head of Engineering and Facilities and will focus on optimizing Facilities & Engineering (F&E) functions for GMP biologics manufacturing and laboratories at our J.POD Facility in Toulouse, France. The role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence, including proposing solutions and tools for daily activities, KPIs, and maintenance investigations.

Additional responsibilities include managing the implementation and maintenance of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), optimizing maintenance schedules, managing investigations using lean methodologies, and preparing change controls.

Your challenge is twofold:

Run the plant today — ensure reliability, utilities, shutdowns, and compliance.

Prepare the plant for tomorrow — partner with capital projects to ensure new assets are designed, commissioned, and handed over ready for steady-state operations.

Educational Requirements:

• Master’s / Engineering degree and 10+ years in GMP biopharma or similar, with at least 5 years in team or project leadership.
• Expertise in GMP utilities and CMMS; Lean/Six-Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• Fluency in English and French; proven stakeholder management skills across operations, CP, MSAT, CQV, and Quality.

Qualification Requirements:

• Knowledge of utilities systems (HVAC, WFI, steam, compressed air, process gases, chilled water, wastewater).
• Subject matter expert in GMP systems and audit defense.
• Experience with electronic systems like QMS and CMMS.
• Proven experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.
• Strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and management skills.
• Proficiency in investigation tools and KPIs (MTBF, OEE, water/energy).
• Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Motivated self-starter with mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate across departments to identify and solve complex operational problems.
• Propose and implement improvement strategies.
• Collect, analyze data, and present reports to stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects, teams, and schedules.
• Follow up on solutions and adapt tools and KPIs accordingly.
• Plan and oversee technical shutdowns, resource allocation, and project handovers.
• Lead risk assessments, investigations, and optimize maintenance activities.
