INSERM in Nice, France, invites Master 1 or Master 2 students to join a 2027 internship focused on how changes in nuclear morphology and cellular mechanics relate to melanoma cell plasticity. The project blends cancer biology, molecular biology, fluorescence microscopy and quantitative approaches in a vibrant, interdisciplinary setting.

The student will gain hands-on experience in cell culture, gene modulation, real-time assays and advanced imaging while collaborating with Dr Mickaël Ohanna.

Qualifications

  • Weakness: Master 1 or Master 2 student in life sciences with interest in cancer biology and microscopy.
  • Strong interest in cancer biology, cell plasticity, nuclear architecture and quantitative biology.
  • Current enrolment in Master 1 or Master 2; English good; French not mandatory.
  • CV, motivation letter, latest transcript/grades and class rank if available.

Responsabilités

  • Investigate how nuclear morphology, organization and cellular mechanics relate to melanoma plasticity.
  • Work in interdisciplinary environment combining cancer biology, molecular biology and microscopy.
  • Gaining experience in fluorescence microscopy, quantitative image analysis and related techniques.
  • Participate in training and interactions with researchers across disciplines.
