INSERM U1065 in Nice invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to investigate MELK in melanoma metabolism and tumor immunology. The project combines in vitro and in vivo approaches to define how MELK links metabolism to immune-cell function and resistance to therapies.

The candidate will work on CRISPR/Cas9, CRISPR knockout, and metabolic profiling, with immunology readouts in tumor models. English is used for reporting; French language skills are a benefit for collaborative work.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Biological sciences or related field.
• Strong expertise in melanoma biology and tumor metabolism.
• Experience with metabolomics and mitochondrial respirometry.
• Experience with lentiviral gene expression and CRISPR/Cas9.
• Experience with murine tumor models and tumor microenvironment analysis.
• Ability to work independently and manage a project.

Responsabilités

• Characterize MELK role in melanoma metabolism.
• Perform metabolomics and lipid-metabolism analyses.
• Assess mitochondrial bioenergetics and ROS.
• Conduct in vivo isotope tracing in mouse models.
• Evaluate MELK inhibition with CRO15 in combination with immunotherapy.
