Allina Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Primary Care (Family Practice and Peds) in Elk River, MN. This 0.9 FTE position (72 hours per two-week pay period) works 9-hour day/evening shifts with no weekend rotation, and may travel to nearby sites within 25 miles as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Must have completed a Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare education program with a similar scope of clinical training.
• If fewer than six months of Medical Assistant experience, must have completed a minimum of 160 hours of clinical externship or equivalent practicum.
• Preferred: Medical Terminology

Aufgaben

• Performs patient care tasks as delegated by Provider or RN.
• Collects and confirms patient information via interview, questionnaires, vital signs and documents in EMR.
• Assists with examinations, injections, and procedures; supports patient education and transportation as needed.
• Maintains safe environment; cleans, stocks, and inventories exam and supply rooms; reports risks.
