Role Overview

The Medical Affairs Associate Director – France/Belgium manages medical affairs activities in this key international market. The role involves supporting the growth of the Oncotype DX Breast Cancer Assay, providing medical information and education, and engaging with healthcare professionals and Key Opinion Leaders in breast cancer. The position also supports R&D and investigator-initiated studies to improve treatment decisions for oncology patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a Medical Affairs Strategic Plan for France and Belgium, including KOL engagement, educational initiatives, and reimbursement strategies.
  • Support medical education, reimbursement, and physician support activities.
  • Identify and engage thought leaders in breast cancer, establishing and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Act as the primary contact for investigators developing studies with company assays.
  • Lead or assist in R&D and investigator-initiated studies.
  • Lead advisory boards and execute medical education initiatives.
  • Provide clinical presentations and support medical review of materials.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to deliver medical activities and develop training materials.
  • Support access and reimbursement strategies with scientific expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Provide feedback to inform commercial plans and strategies.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver quality results.
  • Strong integrity, ethics, and respect for colleagues.
  • Collaborative, culturally sensitive, with business acumen and innovative mindset.
  • Experience managing KOLs and working in a matrix environment.
  • Qualifications: Medical degree (MD, PhD, PharmD), 3+ years clinical experience, 5+ years industry experience, oncology expertise, and experience in France/Belgium.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% within France and Belgium, with occasional European travel.
