Job Title: Medical Advisor - Vaccines
The Medical Advisor holds primary responsibility within the country for the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategic plans. The role involves spending up to 50% of time in external engagements, focusing on cross-functional strategy collaboration, building trust with the medical/scientific community, facilitating peer-to-peer scientific exchange, and providing asset issue resolution support.
The Medical Advisor is an expert in Vaccines with strong scientific communication skills, knowledge, ethics, and integrity. They provide nonpromotional, balanced, reliable, and scientific information, strictly adhering to company standards and local regulations.
Accountabilities
- Medical Affairs & Scientific Activities (office-based)
- In collaboration with Marketing and Regulatory teams: create, develop, and review tools and materials to support product promotion and disease awareness.
- Medical Information: Provide prompt medical information support, including research and response to medical inquiries from internal and external customers; review and approve local response documents.
- Identify relevant Medical Scientific agencies and medical writers to support publications or scientific projects.
- Medical Scientific Liaison Support: Support to MSLs (contracts, slide deck preparation, bibliography, literature review); develop and execute country-specific medical educational materials.
- Consolidate actionable medical insights from the country to inform company strategies.
- Communicate scientific and business needs credibly and effectively across internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Provide therapeutic/functional training to assigned teams and affiliate functions.
- KOL Management in Ile de France Area (field-based)
- Map and identify Key Opinion Leaders in the disease area.
- Develop strong relationships and collaborations with key experts and decision-makers.
- Act as an expert in Vaccines with strong scientific communication and knowledge.
- Implement KOL management with detailed action plans per expert, scientific societies, and patient associations.
- Ensure ethics and integrity; provide nonpromotional, balanced, reliable, and scientific information following company standards and local regulations.
- Build trust with the external scientific community through peer-to-peer scientific exchange, research, educational collaborations, interactions with scientific societies, and publications.
Requirements
- PharmD or Pharmacist degree required.
- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in infectious disease therapy area (experience in vaccines is a plus).
