A leading healthcare company is seeking a Medical Advisor in Paris to develop and execute strategic medical affairs plans. The role involves collaboration with marketing and regulatory teams, managing key opinion leaders, and ensuring ethical communication in the medical community. Ideal candidates will hold a PharmD or Pharmacist degree and have experience in infectious diseases, particularly vaccines.

Description du poste

The Medical Advisor holds primary responsibility within the country for the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategic plans and is expected to spend up to 50% of their time in external engagements.

The role focuses on cross-functional strategy collaboration and execution, building trust with the medical/scientific community, facilitating peer-to-peer medical and scientific exchange, and providing asset issue resolution support.

The Medical Advisor will act as an expert in Vaccines with strong scientific communication and knowledge, emphasizing ethics & integrity; providing non-promotional, balanced, reliable, and scientific information; and strictly following company standards and local regulations.

Accountabilities

1. Medical Affairs & Scientific Activities (office-based)

  1. Create, develop, and review tools and materials to support product promotion and disease awareness, in collaboration with Marketing and Regulatory teams.
  2. Provide prompt medical information support, such as research and answering medical inquiries from external and internal customers, and review/approve local response documents.
  3. Identify relevant Medical Scientific agencies and medical writers to support publication or scientific projects.
  4. Support Medical Scientific Liaison activities: contracts, slide deck preparation, bibliography, literature review; develop and execute country-specific medical educational materials.
  5. Consolidate actionable medical insights from the country to inform company strategies.
  6. Communicate scientific and business needs credibly and effectively across internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  7. Provide therapeutic/functional training to assigned teams and affiliate functions.

2. KOL Management in Ile de France (field-based)

  1. Map and identify Key Opinion Leaders in the disease area.
  2. Develop strong relationships and collaborations with key experts and decision-makers.
  3. Act as an expert in Vaccines with strong scientific communication and knowledge.
  4. Implement KOL management with detailed action plans per expert, scientific societies, and patient associations.
  5. Ensure ethical conduct, providing non-promotional, balanced, reliable, and scientific information, adhering to company standards and local regulations.
  6. Build trust with the external scientific community through peer-to-peer exchanges, research collaborations, interactions with scientific societies and health organizations, publications, and other activities.

Requirements:

  • PharmD or Pharmacist degree required.
  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in infectious disease therapy area (experience in vaccines is a plus).
