Astemo Ltd. is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to lead the design and development of the Motor Gear Unit (MGU) from prototype to serial production.

You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, and electronic interfaces within the actuator housing and work with the project team to integrate the sub-assembly MGU into the final product. You will manage 3D/2D design with CAD designers, perform tolerance analyses, and support validation through prototypes and ramp-up, ensuring safety and reliability

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and development of the Motor Gear Unit (MGU) from prototype to serial production.
• Ensure the integration of mechanical, electrical, and electronic interfaces within the actuator housing and collaborate with the project team to integrate the sub-assembly MGU into the final product.
• Manage 3D/2D design in collaboration with CAD designers, component selection, and definition of manufacturing and assembly specifications within the simultaneous engineering team.
• Perform tolerance analysis and stack-up calculations.
• Coordinate internal activities with project management, hardware, systems, safety, quality, purchasing, and industrialization teams.
• Interface with prototype and serial suppliers for technical discussions, feasibility analysis, and design-for-manufacturing.
• Support the validation plan, prototype build phases, and problem-solving during testing and production ramp-up.
• Ensure design compliance with system-level requirements, safety standards, and reliability targets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons-learned capitalization within the mechatronics R&D community.
