We are recruiting a Mechatronics Engineer within a job creation framework. You will actively participate in defining and developing new standardized solutions to meet market demands. Your main focus will be automation and robotics, developing solutions internally or with partners to expand Desoutter's offerings. You will provide technical support internally to ensure deployment and commercial success, and carry out studies and programs for customer projects.

  1. Develop solutions focused on automation:
  2. Build concepts for internal and customer presentations
  3. Design software and hardware (electrical and electronics)
  4. Manage system interconnectivity (PLC, fieldbus)
  5. Collaborate with mechanical engineers for mechanical design integration
  6. Develop and implement initial projects
  7. Evaluate products from potential partners
  8. Lead discussions and projects with robot manufacturers and integrators
  9. Engage with partners on automation topics
  10. Provide market insights to marketing based on interactions with manufacturers, partners, and customers
  11. Assist marketing in building the product launch pack
  12. Develop solutions for specific customer requirements, including:
  13. Assisting in defining technical solutions and specifications
  14. Estimating project timelines
  15. Developing automation programs for controllers (e.g., CVILogix, IsaGRAF)
  16. Programming for PC or HMI
  17. Creating electrical drawings in ePlan
  18. Preparing technical documentation
  19. Participating in pre-acceptance tests at Nantes site
  20. Supporting customer centers remotely or on-site during implementation
  21. Serving as a technical reference for your expertise

Qualifications include significant experience in a similar role, ideally in a special machine environment, with skills in computer programming, automation, electronics, electrical schematics, robot control, interfacing, and field networks. Mechanical skills are also required.

Must be able to analyze and propose innovative solutions, work well in teams, communicate effectively, work autonomously, and demonstrate rigor and organization. Strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills are essential, including providing rapid support for production start-up at customer sites.

Proficiency in reading, understanding, and speaking English is required. The job location is Saint Herblain (44).
