Bonatti S.p.A. is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector for the Centrale à moteurs Corse du Sud project in Ricanto, Ajaccio (Corsica, France).

The role covers on-site supervision and inspection of mechanical installation and testing with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with ITPs, project specs, and applicable codes. Key duties include planning QC workload, implementing the Project Quality Plan, verifying installations, witnessing tests, and managing NCRs.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of QA/QC experience on industrial, energy, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical installation activities, piping systems, static and rotating equipment, and mechanical testing procedures.
• Proven experience in the implementation and management of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation.
• Fluent English; French language skills are a plus.

Bonatti S.p.A. is currently looking for a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join its EPC project “Centrale à moteurs Corse du Sud” in Ricanto, Ajaccio (Corsica, France).

The role will be responsible for the supervision and inspection of mechanical installation and testing activities on-site and by subcontractors, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications, and applicable codes and standards throughout all phases of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the workload related to mechanical quality control activities.
• Implement the Project Quality Plan, including inspections, testing activities, and quality documentation, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, procedures, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Verify the proper installation of mechanical equipment, piping systems, structural supports, and related components.
• Monitor and witness inspection and testing activities carried out by subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved work methods, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
• Perform proactive inspections to identify potential issues and minimize non-conformities, rework, delays, and associated costs.
• Coordinate with construction teams and project stakeholders to promptly resolve quality-related issues.
• Raise, monitor, and verify corrective actions related to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely closure.
• Witness inspections and tests according to approved Inspection Test Plans, including hold and witness points required by the Client.
• Interface with Client representatives regarding quality inspections, testing activities, and turnover documentation.
• Prepare punch lists, track progress, and coordinate closure activities with construction teams.
• Witness factory and site testing activities performed by suppliers and subcontractors when required.
• Maintain and update Quality Control records, reports, and project documentation.
• Promote and ensure full compliance with project Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in QA/QC roles within industrial, energy, infrastructure, or construction projects.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical installation activities, piping systems, static and rotating equipment, and mechanical testing procedures.
• Proven experience in the implementation and management of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation.
• Good understanding of international standards, codes, and mechanical quality control requirements.
• Fluent English is mandatory; French language skills will be considered a plus
