Job summary

Ledger is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead to drive the design of the next generation Ledger devices. Reporting to the head of engineering, you’ll own the mechanical architecture and lead a growing hardware team.

You’ll oversee CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and collaborate with firmware and product teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions while driving reliability testing, tooling, CMF, supplier relations and DFM.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in consumer electronics or related industries.
• Track record shipping devices to market.
• Experience in kicking off tools and processes at scale.
• Strong CAD skills in SolidWorks (preferred) or Creo/Onshape; good GD&T.
• Proficient in tolerance analysis and SPC studies.
• Hands-on engineer, natural leader who develops others.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and handles change.
• Curiosity about the crypto/blockchain industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical design / architecture choices.
• Drive complex integrations of components and structures.
• Own CAD and integrate constraints from antenna, PCBA, connectors, etc.
• Define and validate reliability testing specifications.
• Drive molds and tooling processes.
• Own relationships with key suppliers.
• Lead/build a team, mentor juniors and ensure program delivery.
• Drive DFM and CMF for Ledger devices.
• Prototype and debug devices in the lab and perform teardowns.
• Present technical choices and trade-offs to leadership.
