Mechanical Engineering Project Manager

Job Details

Location: Clermont, QC

Salary: $90,000 to $150,000 YEAR annually (To be negotiated) / 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Workplace Information: On site

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
  • Design power plants, machines and equipment
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems
  • Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs
  • Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
  • Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance
  • Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies
  • Lead/instruct groups
  • Commission systems and components
  • Print in 3D
Qualifications
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • SOLIDWORKS Certification
  • Membership in l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Computer and technology knowledge: Mastercam CAD/CAM, SolidWorks software, AutoCAD, MS Windows, MS Office, MS Excel
