Description du poste

Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!

E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of space-powered Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are fundamentally changing the design, economics, manufacturing, coverage limitations and service deliveryassociated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.

By building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system—with a unique antenna design, highly sustainable spacecraft system and low-cost, small portable end-user devices—we can extend global satellite coverage, capacity and connectivity beyond legacy space services to provide a new kind of IoT platform that lets users sense, track, connect and act on information gathered, anywhere.

We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to saving space, protecting our planet and turning connectivity into actionable intelligence.

We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Mechanical AIT Engineer to join our growing team in Toulouse and play a key role in the production, assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of spacecraft components. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of mechanical prototyping, and enjoys seeing projects through from concept to delivery. The ideal candidate is methodical, organized, resourceful, and self-motivated. Responsibilities include end-to-end mechanical fixture design, as well as the production, assembly, integration, and testing of flight hardware, covering both mechanical and basic electrical interfaces. The engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to test campaigns, facility upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will do:
  • Design custom mechanical fixtures, integration jigs, and support tooling using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Manage and operate3D printers to produce mechanical components, tooling, and test interfaces.
  • Assemble mechanical and electromechanical hardware for flight and development units.
  • Write, maintain, and improve work instructions and integration checklists to ensure repeatability, traceability, and consistency across AIT workflows.
  • Execute functional and environmental tests (e.g., vibration, thermal cycling, mechanical fit checks) following structured procedures in collaboration with test engineers.
  • Participate in facility improvement projects, including cleanroom setup, lab upgrades, and interface with vendors and contractors when needed.
  • Engage in design reviews, test planning, and integration coordination to ensure mechanical interfaces are well understood and properly implemented across projects.
What you bring to this role:
  • Demonstrated experience with end-to-end design and delivery of several complex mechanical fixtures, including concept formulation, CAD design, manufacturing using 3D printing and external facilities, assembly, and delivery to customer to key stakeholder.
  • Experience writing and executing detailed procedures for production, assembly, and test of mechanical and (basic) electrical components.
  • Solid experience with CAD tools for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with hands-on assembly of mechanical and basic electrical components, including use of workshop tools.
  • Ability to work methodically, follow and improve instructions, and manage integration documentation rigorously.
  • Capacity to organize your work across multiple projects or units, with a clear sense of priorities and deadlines.
  • A self-starting attitude — you don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do, you make things happen.
Bonus points:
  • Experience with satellite or aerospace AIT, including environmental test campaigns (vibration, thermal cycling, TVAC).
  • Familiarity with 3D printing workflows, including part preparation, maintenance, and post-processing.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python/Matlab) to perform trades and data analysis
  • Experience with sensitive electrical component handling, assembly, and tests.
  • Experiencedeveloping and operating Mechanical Ground Support Equipment(MGSE) or custom test benches for critical hardware integration.

While we welcome candidates with global experience, please note that English is the language we conduct our business in, and applicationsubmissions will need to be in Englishor both English and French to be reviewed by our global team.
