Participate as part of an engineering team, applying sound engineering principles to develop, customize and/or sustain TDW products and services solutions for customer applications. This role provides a detailed focus on material of construction for all product lines across the global engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

1. Design products (equipment and consumables) and improve existing technologies considering manufacturability, costs, and quality expectations.
2. Verify and/or apply customer/input requirements to engineering / design activity/output.
3. Perform and document the engineering activities (Concepts, Product design or improvements, Calculation Notes, Design activities, prototypes, CE documentation, manuals, failure analysis, corrective actions, obsolescence …).
4. Perform and lead the components, assemblies, and products CAD design activities (3D models, drawings).
5. Provide and lead technical support and communications to other internal departments (Quality, Production, Purchase, Sales and Comm Ops, Services, …), as well as to suppliers, partners and customers.
6. Report progress, difficulties, risks and needs to the Engineering Manager.
7. Follow established processes and proactively support and/or facilitate changes in the department in a continuous improvement logic.
8. Support internal and external product presentations.
9. Keep the ERP (AX) database up to date, create and update product Part Numbers.
10. Perform and/or lead validation test activities and create test reports.

Experience

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Design.
• 5 years’ experience in an engineering environment required.
• Significant experience in engineering problem solving.
• Proficient in CAD software for 3D models, drawings (Solidworks preferred).
• Experience in plastics parts manufacturing and machining would be preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient in CAD software for 3D models, drawings (Solidworks preferred).
• Experience in plastics parts manufacturing and machining would be preferred.
• Microsoft Office Pack professional skills.
• Knowledge of PLM software (Teamcenter, Intralink, Solidworks PLM).
• Good written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
• Capacity and willingness to work in an international environment.
