Job Overview:

OceanWings is looking for a Design Mechanical Engineer. You will be responsible for designing the components of the OceanWings system.

Main Missions:

  • Define, specify, and justify technical choices.
  • Design, pre-dimension, and size mechanical parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
  • Generate or monitor the generation of 3D models and 2D drawings in collaboration with the Designers.
  • Ensure manufacturing and assembly feasibility.
  • Ensure technical follow-up with suppliers and assemblers.
  • Participate in building the OceanWings experience feedback and best practice database.
  • Make suggestions for optimizing OceanWings products.

Participate in the development of design office tools.

Profile & Skills required:

  • You have a 5-year degree in mechanical engineering.
  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in industry, enabling you to design structural metal parts for projects in offshore, shipbuilding, and wind energy sectors.
  • A good command of 3D CAD and drawing tools.
  • A good understanding of the rules governing the design, dimensioning, and manufacture of metal parts.
  • Good knowledge of metal parts manufacturing processes and standards in the marine, wind, and crane industries. Experience working with class companies is valued.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize information effectively.
  • Rigor, organization, and autonomy.
  • Curiosity and team spirit.
  • Fluency in English is essential for participating in international meetings.
