Mechanical Design Engineer

Overview

Join a leading company specializing in the design and manufacturing of high-performance industrial equipment crafted from stainless steel, nickel alloys, titanium, and other exotic materials. Serving demanding sectors such as food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, petrochemicals, and aerospace, the company is renowned for its innovative solutions and commitment to excellence. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge pressure equipment and play a key role in our design-to-manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:

• Design pressure equipment such as tanks, exchangers, and fermenters.
• Create 3D models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Perform preliminary mechanical calculations, including thicknesses, supports, and flanges.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes (e.g., CODAP, ASME, EN 13445).
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to address technical requirements.
• Oversee projects from the design phase through to manufacturing completion.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (mandatory).
• Solid knowledge of pressure equipment and associated standards.
• A strong understanding of stainless steel manufacturing constraints.
• French or German language skills (Mandatory)

Day-to-Day

Your daily activities will include:

• Developing detailed designs and technical drawings for pressure equipment.
• Conducting mechanical calculations to ensure the structural integrity of designs.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and ensure smooth project execution.
• Reviewing and incorporating feedback from manufacturing and quality teams.
• Monitoring the progress of projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
