Jobtailor in Vitrolles is seeking a materials and processes engineer to define technical specifications, qualify aero parts, and support supplier onboarding. The role requires autonomy, rigor, and strong analytical skills, with fluency in English.

You will analyze material characterization results, prepare qualification documentation, and coordinate exchanges among clients, suppliers, and external laboratories. A collaborative mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in materials science or engineering with focus on materials and processes.
• At least 6 months’ experience in a design office/engineering in aerospace/space.
• Autonomous, rigorous, with strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• Excellent written communication and team-oriented.
• Proficient in spoken and written English; basic materials characterization techniques.

• Oversee the technical progress of qualifications for various parts suppliers.
• Support our clients in developing their supply chain, particularly during onboarding of new suppliers or transfer of activities.
• Analyze material characterization results and have command of their forming and joining/assembly processes.
• Prepare technical documentation pre- and post-qualification.
• Organize and facilitate exchanges between the client’s materials teams, suppliers, and external laboratories.

• Qualify manufacturer-part combinations for aeronautical parts and associated surface treatments
• Contribute to the development of qualification methods and processes
• Oversee the technical progress of qualifications for various parts suppliers
• Support our clients in developing their supply chain, particularly during the onboarding of new suppliers or the transfer of activities
• Analyze material characterization results and have command of their forming and joining/assembly processes

Requirements

• University or engineering degree (Master’s to PhD level, Bac +5 to Bac +8) with a specialization in materials and processes
• At least 6 months’ experience in a design office/engineering department within the aerospace or space sector
• Autonomous, rigorous, with excellent analytical and synthesis skills
• Strong written communication skills and a collaborative team player
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Proficiency in basic materials characterization techniques
