What you will do
The Materials Planning Manager is responsible for the Essential Health (EH) and Skin Health (SH) segments, leading our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) team. The role focuses on delivering supply chain objectives, primarily ensuring material availability and optimal inventory levels. The manager oversees a team of 13 employees across multiple European sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of the material replenishment team, resolving critical issues related to material availability.
- Manage escalations concerning material availability or supplier performance in collaboration with sourcing, RRT, and other stakeholders.
- Standardize MRP processes and implement best practices across manufacturing sites to enhance performance.
- Define system policies and strategic actions to maintain optimal inventory levels, monitoring execution and addressing main challenges.
- Support critical phase-in/phase-out strategies, overseeing execution to minimize obsolescence costs.
- Monitor accounts payable performance to ensure timely invoice payments and increase process automation.
- Manage supplier performance, ensuring accountability and requesting corrective actions when standards are not met.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet their needs promptly.
- Lead and coach the team, fostering continuous improvement in MRP processes and ensuring adequate resources for strategic initiatives.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Economics, Operations, or related field.
- Over 7 years of supply chain experience, including at least 3 years in Material Planning.
- Minimum of 3 years in a team leadership role managing at least 5 people.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Preferred: experience in other supply chain areas (Manufacturing, Transportation, Procurement) and working knowledge of SAP.
