We are currently searching for a Material Supervisor to be based in Paris, France and Paramaribo, Suriname and work in a 12 - month contract with the possibility of extension.
Status & Location:
- Paris, France (Residential): From July/2025 to January/2026
- Paramaribo, Suriname (28/28 Rotational): From February/2026 to June/2027
Job Description:
- Demonstrate strong HSE Leadership by setting high HSEQ standards.
- Comply with company’s material and stock control procedures, processes and applicable laws and regulations.
- Encourage continuous improvements of material and stock control processes, procedures and methods.
- Collaborate with Contractor and Company’s methods, QA/QC Engineers, Technical Administrator (TADM), Contracts & Procurement (C&P), and Logistics teams.
- Proficiency in the use of SAP Materials Management module.
The service holder reports within the Performance and Methods team on GranMorgu development (Drilling and Wells package).
Responsibilities:
HSE & Sustainability:
- Apply and lead by example with company’s HSEQ MAESTRO, Company Ethics - “Code of Conduct” policy, fight against corruption, 12 golden rules, company rules, policies & procedures.
- Follow up and close HSE actions relating to materials and stocks.
Methods:
- Create material retention plans, methods statements, and inventory control practices – in collaboration with QAQC engineers and Technical Administrators (TADMs).
- Setup Material Masters in SAP MM for Drilling & Wells materials and equipment – in collaboration with Contracts & Procurement (C&P) and logistics teams.
- Perform regular inventory checks and identify material excesses, gaps and needs – in collaboration with Contracts & Procurement (C&P) and Logistics teams.
- Ensure SAP Materials Module (MM) is used to control all material transactions and offer guidance to QA/QC engineers and Technical Administrators (TADM).
- Assist with the creation of Material and Purchase Requisition (MR & PR, also known as *DCA & *DA) and to follow up with their contents once issued by the engineers / TADM.
- Request for Article Creation and Purchase Request.
- Process relevant license requests based on material and equipment HS codes e.g. radioactive goods going to offshore rigs.
- Establish, monitor and communicate material KPI’s.
- Track min/max levels and delivery dates for materials and stock items to ensure no impact to the rig schedule.
- Control materials receipt, preservation & storage, consumption, and tracking for drilling and wells equipment at the contractor’s bases.
- Supply material certificates and MSDS to the QA/QC teams for uploads in IQ-ALL and SAP.
- Prepare Return of Experience (REX) feedback and contribute to each contractor’s Service Quality Meetings (SQM) evaluation from a materials and stock perspective.
- Support the Technical Administrator (TADM) and Contracts & Procurement (C&P) with their stock duet and procurement responsibilities.
Records & Reporting:
- Proficient in the use of SAP Material Module (MM) for transactions and reporting.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.
- Coordinate regular meetings with contractor and company.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Professional Experience (years): +15 years in upstream Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience in similar position (years): 6 to 10 years in similar position.
- Level / Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and an SAP certification is desirable.
- Specialization: Logistics coordination for goods and proficient use of SAP MM module (proven field experience).
- : English mandatory. French or any other are a plus.
- Offshore Medical Certificate.
- BOSIET + HUET.
- Other internal trainings may apply upon recruitment.
Context & Environment:
- Project: Fast Track Greenfield deepwater project (32 wells, 2 deepwater rigs, 3 years drilling). 'Activity takes place in the context of the POST-FID phase of the first major development (GranMorgu) in Suriname. This is a new Oil and Gas (O&G) province for the company and the industry.
- Position: Multicultural environment with contractors relocating in Suriname. Interface for establishing and overseeing methods requirements.
- The appraisal campaign has been concluded, and the project's First Oil is scheduled for Q4 2027.
Drilling & Well Operations will begin Q4 2026.
- The role will join GranMorgu D&W Team from Q3 2025 in Paris (). Then in Q1 2026, the role will move to Paramaribo on rotational basis.
