Job summary

INRAE Lyon-Grenoble Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is seeking a Master 2 or 3rd-year engineering student for a 6-month research internship starting in early 2027. The project, titled “Quantifying stress of chemical pollution in a changing climate: A coupled experimental-computational approach with Gammarus fossarum,” combines in-vivo and in-silico methods.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Master 2 or 3rd-year engineering program in ecotoxicology or environmental science.
• Has laboratory experience with biological assays or aquatic organisms.
• Interest in quantitative approaches and computational modelling; experience in R or Python is a plus.
• Proficient English for team communication.

Responsibilities

• Extract thermal/oxygen tolerance ranges from literature to set experimental boundaries.
• Perform multi-stress acute ecotoxicology bioassays on Gammarus fossarum.
• Calibrate GUTS models using experimental data.
