Position Information Posting Number: 20255473V Position Title: Marketing Assistant-Recreation Posting Type Student Hours/week: 4-8 Eligibility: Work study preferred but open to all students Semester 2025-2026 Academic Year Location Davis Center Detailed Work Schedule Number of positions: 1 Department: 775-Athl - Intramurals Contact Name: Ashley Montecchio Vero Contact Phone/Extension: 6105196387 Position Summary Information Job Description Summary: · Creating weekly social media posts to cover all areas of the recreation department, including club sports, fitness centers, intramurals, and aquatics. · Managing a social media calendar/schedule via Hootsuite · Maintaining waivers and tracking system for image/likeness usage on recreation marketing materials · Content and design creation for the Villanova recreation website and marketing materials to be dispersed around campus · Creating and publishing a monthly newsletter via MailChimp · Attending biweekly meetings to discuss upcoming marketing needs and projects · Various other marketing projects as assigned

Requirements: · Working knowledge of various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram (including Reels), Twitter, and TikTok – and staying up to date with current social media trends. · Ability to represent the Villanova recreation brand (including university color/verbiage guidelines) in a way that engages the target audience while reflecting Villanova’s mission and values appropriately. · Comfort with various marketing tools/software systems (or willingness to learn how to utilize them) including Canva, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, AEM , etc.
