Job Description

The Sensors Market Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and developing new business opportunities using Avery Dennison RFID solutions. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product Development, and Innovation teams to identify and convert opportunities into sales.

  • Identify, assess, develop, and manage new programs and business opportunities for assigned products, leading to successful commercialization.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop market-appropriate products, support materials, and pricing strategies across RFID, NFC, and consumer experience solutions.
  • Work with prospective customers to identify unmet needs and present solutions.
  • Navigate complex problems and structures to find the best solutions for customer needs.
  • Present ROI business case analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends by attending trade shows and market insights events.
  • Surface new ideas, product applications, and solutions to development teams.
  • Communicate key value propositions and differentiators of Avery Dennison solutions to customers.
  • Craft regional and customer-specific go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop long-term business opportunities and identify quick-hit projects.
  • Support marketing with product forecasting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customer partners.
  • Collaborate with other business units to evaluate volume, trends, and quality.
  • Establish pricing strategies and secure optimal product positioning within target accounts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Extensive experience in Market Development, Business Development, or sales, especially in RFID industry.
  • Deep knowledge of the retail apparel and general merchandise markets.
  • Ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • 5-10+ years in business development or sales, with RFID expertise.
  • Understanding of RFID label manufacturing and solutions.
  • Strong project management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Storytelling ability and project championing skills across functions.
  • Solid understanding of finance and ROI analysis.
  • Proven track record of developing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Business fluent in French is essential.
  • Ability to travel frequently, 50%+.
