Job Description

The Sensors Market Development Manager is responsible for driving top-line growth and developing new business opportunities using Avery Dennison RFID solutions and products. You will collaborate closely with the Sales, Product Development, and Innovations teams to identify and evaluate opportunities that lead to new or incremental sales.

  • Identify, assess, develop, and manage new programs and business opportunities for assigned products, leading to successful commercialization.
  • Incorporate industry knowledge to develop market-appropriate products, support materials, and pricing strategies across RFID, NFC, and consumer experience solutions.
  • Work with prospective customers to identify unmet needs and present compelling solutions.
  • Navigate complex problems and structures to determine the best solutions for customer needs.
  • Initiate, determine, and present ROI business case analyses.
  • Stay updated on industry trends by attending trade shows and events and monitoring market insights and branding trends.
  • Surface new ideas, product applications, and solutions to development teams.
  • Communicate key value propositions and differentiators of Avery Dennison solutions to customers.
  • Develop customized go-to-market strategies for regions and individual clients.
  • Develop and maintain long-term business opportunities and relationships with customers.
  • Support marketing with forecasting for your products and programs.
  • Collaborate with other business units to evaluate volume, identify trends, and ensure quality.
  • Establish pricing programs and strategies to secure optimal product positioning within target accounts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in Market Development, Business Development, or sales, with expertise in RFID industry.
  • Deep knowledge of the retail apparel and general merchandise markets.
  • Ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in business development or sales within RFID.
  • Deep understanding of RFID labels manufacturing and solution implementation.
  • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Influencing skills, storytelling ability, and capability to champion projects across functions.
  • Solid understanding of finance and ROI analysis.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing new business opportunities.
