Job Description:

This role involves driving growth initiatives within the strategic marketing plan, specifically for monogastric gut health applications in swine and poultry. The Market Development Manager will develop and execute pipeline growth initiatives, tailor activation plans, develop new customer relationships, and oversee offers that meet customer needs within the assigned segments. The role also leads cross-functional market activation efforts to maximize the positioning of Eastman's additive solutions in the Animal Nutrition industry.

Typical tasks and responsibilities include:

  1. Conduct market assessments to identify gaps and opportunities.
  2. Develop a pipeline of customer and prospect opportunities alongside sales and technical teams.
  3. Define and execute go-to-market activation plans, ensuring the marketing mix is aligned.
  4. Identify and prioritize strategic opportunities.
  5. Develop offers that address unmet needs with current and future product lines.
  6. Manage marketing campaigns and coordinate with the communications team for successful execution.
  7. Prioritize growth opportunities through offer or product development.
  8. Collaborate with sales on customer relationships and partnership development.
  9. Manage the full marketing process from opportunity assessment to launch and evaluate effectiveness.
  10. Develop value propositions and work with partners to demonstrate customer value.
  11. Set value-based pricing strategies for offers.
  12. Train sales and application teams on value propositions and distribution channels.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, or Veterinary Medicine required.
  • MBA or Marketing degree, or proven marketing experience.
  • At least 7 years of B2B experience in the Animal Nutrition industry, preferably with additives.
  • Experience in executing marketing strategies and plans.
  • Track record of achieving results without direct authority.
  • Strong marketing skills and familiarity with marketing tools.
  • Experience in value proposition development and value pricing.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in marketing tools and building business cases.
  • Experience in product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and lead management.
  • Knowledge of stage-gate processes and value pricing.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
