Industrial Automation Engineer – Marseille, France

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is looking for an Industrial Automation Engineer to modernise and automate production lines dedicated to the laboratory industry. The role focuses on improving performance, reliability and productivity of production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understand functional requirements and translate them into realistic proposals within the allocated budget.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop automated systems for industrial production.
• Commission and industrialise equipment: start‑up automated machinery, prepare project documentation, and conduct testing (FAT / SAT / IQ / OQ) in regulated environments.
• Optimise line performance in terms of throughput, quality and reliability.
• Continuous improvement: analyse breakdowns, identify root causes and propose improvement solutions.

Essential Requirements

• Engineering degree (Master’s level / Bac+5) in automation and industrial computing, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in industrial automation.

Desirable Experience

• Experience in a laboratory, pharmaceutical or food industry environment.
