Job Description

To support the Engineering team in maintaining the overall appearance and internal workings of the Hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Completing daily hotel rounds to check light bulbs and parkade
2. Maintaining the physical appearance and overall condition of all public areas such as lounges, health club, public washrooms, and back of house areas
3. Frequent testing of the chemical levels of the pool and whirlpool
4. Cleaning pool and whirlpool filters, backwash, and tiles to ensure a safe and healthy environment
5. Maintaining the physical appearance of the grounds including collecting garbage, plowing and shoveling snow, cutting grass, and pruning shrubbery and trees
6. Attending to scheduled room checks and room calls, noting condition of rooms and required repairs
7. Assisting with other maintenance tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Plumbing or electrical training is an asset
• Able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Demonstrates a mechanical aptitude
• Keen attention to detail
• Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
