Jobtailor is seeking an IT field technician in Marseille to diagnose faults, repair equipment, and keep systems running smoothly in a retail environment. You will install hardware, deploy software, and support POS systems while maintaining backups and imaging to prevent downtime.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential. Experience with Windows 7/10, basic networking, and Apple iOS devices is a plus, as is the ability to log interventions and report findings

Description du poste

• Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose faults and malfunctions on equipment.
• Consult knowledge bases to identify appropriate solutions.
• Repair defective equipment and apply test procedures at each step.
• Install new hardware and deploy required software.
• Maintenance: Anticipate failures through imaging, backups, and the implementation of alert systems.
• Provide follow‑up and user support to ensure optimal operation.
• Equipment management: Log receipt and return of equipment dynamically.
• Place hardware orders and manage remote stock inventories.
• Reporting: Track interventions in the OMTI, perform reporting and close tickets.
• Communicate with your team leader in case of malfunctions, delays, or specific issues.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma from vocational high school to Bac+3 (e.g., BTS or DUT) in computer systems and software, or proven experience in the IT sector.
• Ability to work independently and professionally, with good stress management.
• Attention to detail and adherence to internal instructions and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of networking, Wi‑Fi, and Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.
• Experience in retail environments, particularly with POS systems, customer displays, and network/back‑office components.
• Knowledge of Apple iOS (tablets) and server operating systems for back‑office environments, whether virtualized or physical.
