AFV Acciaierie Beltrame S.p.A. is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for the Melting Furnace sector, on day shift.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, coordinating tasks and ensuring safety and environmental standards. The role requires a vocational qualification and substantial hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, with proficiency in CMMS; SAP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Attention to detail and safe working practices.
• Proficiency with CMMS; SAP advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Carry out preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance in the Fusion Furnace sector.
• Coordinate maintenance work with safety, quality, cost, deadlines and energy targets.
• Maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Prepare maintenance operations, manage material requirements and document via SAP.
• Ensure lockout procedures are followed and installations are safe before work.
• Contribute to equipment reliability and continuous improvement of installations.
• Maintain equipment related to environmental control (fume extraction, dust removal, filtration).
• In absence of Sector Manager, coordinate activities across Furnace, Water Intake and Additives sectors.
• Allocate tasks, monitor progress and ensure risk assessments and safety regulations are followed.
• Check parts compliance with specifications and report anomalies to set priorities.

Duties / Responsibilities

Your responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance in the Fusion Furnace sector.
• Carry out and coordinate maintenance work in accordance with safety, quality, environmental, cost, deadline and energy requirements.
• Carry out work on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Prepare maintenance operations, manage material requirements and maintain documentation via SAP.
• Ensure that lockout procedures are followed and that installations are made safe prior to any work.
• Contribute to improving equipment reliability and the continuous improvement of installations.
• Carry out maintenance on equipment related to environmental control (fume extraction, dust removal, filtration, etc.).

A key role within the team

In the absence of the Sector Manager, you will be required to:

• Coordinate maintenance activities in the Furnace, Water Intake and Additives sectors.
• Allocate tasks within the team and monitor the progress of work.
• Ensure compliance with risk assessments and safety regulations.
• Check that parts received comply with specifications.
• Report any anomalies and help to set priorities for work.

Required qualifications

• Vocational A-level qualification or equivalent to two years’ further education in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Substantial experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Proficiency in a CMMS (SAP would be an advantage).
• Attention to detail, the ability to work independently, a team-oriented approach and a strong safety culture.
