Maintenance Service Engineer - H/F, Villeurbanne

Location: Villeurbanne, France

SYNTEGON Telstar France (formerly USIFROID) is a division of the SYNTEGON group, a global player in manufacturing, modernization, and technical support for machines used in the pharmaceutical and agro-food industries. Specializing in pharmaceutical lyophilizers, our team (16 members to date) is experiencing rapid growth to meet increasing demand for maintenance, retrofitting, and compliance upgrades of critical equipment.

We are recruiting an experienced maintenance engineer, passionate about technology, and ready to work independently on-site. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance, modernizations (retrofits), and technical upgrades of industrial lyophilizers for pharmaceutical clients in France and abroad, ensuring quality, documentation rigor, and excellent client relations.
• Carrying out maintenance and technical expertise on pharmaceutical production lyophilizers (refrigeration, vacuum, automation, mechanical).
• Writing intervention reports according to pharmaceutical quality standards (GMP).
• Executing complete retrofit operations: replacing tanks, heat exchangers, electrical panels, control/command systems, etc.
• Conducting functional tests at the end of projects and monitoring post-intervention performance.

Project Management & Client Relations:

• Manage your projects independently, with high technical and documentation standards.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients (production, maintenance, quality).

Qualifications:

• Degree: Bac +2 to Bac +5 (BTS/DUT, bachelor's, or engineering school) in refrigeration engineering, industrial maintenance, automation, or mechanical engineering.
• Solid field experience (5+ years) in industrial maintenance or complex refrigeration in a vacuum environment.
• Skills in mechanics, industrial electricity, automation (reading diagrams, diagnostics, component replacement).
• Interest or knowledge of regulated pharmaceutical environments (GMP, validation).
