Job summary

Cailabs in Rennes is creating a dedicated Maintenance team and seeks a Maintenance Manager to build and lead this new unit. You will partner with Facilities, Security and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure reliable operation of buildings, utilities and equipment across Rennes sites.

You will define preventive maintenance plans, monitor KPIs, manage the budget, and coordinate external partners while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage building and utilities maintenance, including electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air, access control, alarms, and fire safety systems.
• Plan regulatory inspections and ensure compliance of installations and address non-compliance.
• Identify needs for construction, site improvements, or investments and provide technical guidance.
• Define and implement preventive/corrective maintenance plans for equipment, test benches, and tooling; monitor calibration; organize fault diagnosis and safe return to service.
• Define and monitor KPIs (availability, MTBF, MTTR, preventive completion, costs, energy) and manage the maintenance budget and CAPEX/OPEX trade-offs.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance reliability and coordinate with external partners and procurement.

Job description

As part of the continued growth of our industrial activities, Cailabs is creating a dedicated Maintenance team to structure and standardize the maintenance of its equipment, technical facilities, buildings, and utilities across its Rennes sites.

We are looking for our future Maintenance Manager to build and lead this new team.

You will work closely with the Facilities team on major infrastructure projects and with the Security Officer on security-related matters, as well as with the Production, Industrialization, Quality, R&D, Procurement, IT, and HSE teams.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

Manage building and utilities maintenance

• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of technical installations and utilities, including electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air, general equipment, access control, alarms, and fire safety systems.
• Plan regulatory inspections, ensure compliance of installations, and coordinate the resolution of any identified non-compliance issues.
• Identify requirements for construction work, site improvements, or investments, and provide technical expertise to the Facilities team.

Ensure equipment maintenance

• Define and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for equipment, test benches, and tooling.
• Monitor the calibration of measurement equipment.
• Organize fault diagnosis, prioritize interventions, perform root cause analysis, and ensure equipment is safely returned to service.
• Ensure full traceability of maintenance operations, maintain technical documentation, manage critical spare parts, and oversee the use of the CMMS.

Drive maintenance performance

• Define and monitor KPIs, including availability, MTBF, MTTR, preventive maintenance completion, recurring failures, costs, energy consumption, and compliance.
• Prepare and monitor the Maintenance budget and recommend CAPEX/OPEX trade-offs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability of equipment and installations.

Ensure safety and coordinate external partners

• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, prevention plans, permits, and lockout/tagout procedures, and contribute to the organization of fire drills.
• Manage suppliers and service providers within the Maintenance scope, in coordination with Procurement and the Facilities team.
• Provide regular reporting to site management.
