Job Description

This document identifies the responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager and outlines procedures to ensure worker safety, product quality, and traceability.

Scope

The Maintenance Manager is fully responsible for predictive and preventive maintenance of processing and support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of production equipment and facilities.
• Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation to ensure continuous production.
• Coordinate activities and training of maintenance personnel.
• Develop and implement a Preventive Maintenance program in conjunction with production scheduling and maintenance staff.
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance to standards.
• Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs with management.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Consult with management to resolve maintenance issues and recommend improvements.
• Supervise hourly employees in the Maintenance Department, adhering to organizational policies and laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of the maintenance shop.
