Within the Store Excellence Department, the Maintenance & Facility Manager helps to maintain an efficient and professional working environment that meets the company's requirements, while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, cost control and optimising the quality of services provided.

He/she supervises the activities of the maintenance, cleaning, logistics & mail, administrative, etc. for EssilorLuxottica and GV buildings and stores, ensuring high standards of services and attention to detail, verifying that activities carried out by internal staff and suppliers align with quality expectations, intervention times, costs, and KPIs.

He/she manages teams and supervises maintenance and facilities activities.

Responsibilities:

The Maintenance & Facility Manager is responsible for optimizing the availability of all equipment and infrastructure at the sites within his/her scope, including sites in the Paris region and remote locations, to ensure business continuity for buildings and stores.

He/she ensures necessary resources are in place to resolve malfunctions, anticipate technical issues, and propose improvements. He/she makes work recommendations to department heads and prioritizes maintenance work within the annual budget.

He/she guarantees compliance with regulatory standards, health and safety standards, and maintains an up-to-date register.

Technical activities

  • Analyzing site requirements, overseeing maintenance and works programs, establishing procedures, and proposing optimizations (e.g., energy management).
  • Managing services for buildings and stores, including maintenance activities, repairs, upgrades of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, BMS, lifts, roofing, painting, blacksmithing, etc.
  • Responding quickly and effectively to emergencies that could jeopardize business continuity.
  • Collaborating with other departments on new works or refurbishments.
  • Supervising operational activities to ensure compliance with health and regulatory standards.

Managing the activity budget

  • Preparing and analyzing expenditure, evaluating variances, and proposing cost-saving measures.
  • Assessing financial resources needed for smooth operations.

Managing a team

  • Participating in recruitment and onboarding.
  • Developing training plans to meet team objectives and improve employability.
  • Evaluating performance, conducting reviews, and participating in salary discussions.
  • Fostering a positive work environment through regular meetings, listening, and team engagement.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal regulations, HSE rules, and work organization standards.
  • Promoting the Group's principles and values.

Candidate profile:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in structured companies with high-level stores.
  • Proven resource management skills, aiming to unify teams like a “One-Team”.
  • Strong cost control abilities.
  • Ability to maintain buildings and stores in excellent condition.
  • Continuous improvement mindset regarding processes and technologies.
