Job summary

Dalma is seeking a Machine Learning Lead to own the advanced modeling layer for price optimization and retention across France and Germany. You will translate business priorities into model specifications, deploy end-to-end ML solutions, and collaborate with Product & Tech.

This is a local contract (Paris or Berlin) with remote options and monthly travel to Paris HQ. You will work with a small Insurance team and report to the CIO, expanding ML scope beyond pricing to churn, claims, and fraud

Qualifications

• Experience: At least three years in Machine Learning/Data Science and end-to-end model ownership.
• Sector: Insurance preferred, but fintech, retail banking, e-commerce/marketplace, or telecom/SaaS B2C also relevant
• Technical: Strong modeling skills (logistic regression, survival models, clustering, etc.); Python; SQL; BI tool familiarity
• Business sense: Translate technical models into actionable decisions
• Communication: Strong ability to explain quantitative topics to non-technical stakeholders
• Curiosity: Willingness to grow scope beyond pricing over time
• Languages: Fluent English; French or German a plus
• Location: Paris or Berlin; local contract, or fully remote with periodic trips to Paris HQ

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and monitor pricing models and elasticity segmentation.
• Ensure data quality feeding pricing models and derive actionable insights for product/insurance decisions.
• Collaborate with Product & Tech teams for model integration into production.
• Explain complex quantitative topics to non-technical stakeholders and drive adoption.
• Expand ML scope to churn, claims operations prioritization, and fraud detection over time
