What You'll Do:

As part of a team, you'll work closely with your mentor to drive your project, apply best practices, and participate in knowledge sharing sessions and workshops. You'll actively voice your ideas while learning to build and deploy quality code that impacts millions of users instantly. Your responsibilities include identifying key problems, devising solutions, building prototypes, and staying current with state-of-the-art algorithms. You'll gather and analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights, helping Criteo stay ahead of competitors. You will develop high-performance algorithms, test, and implement them in scalable, production-ready code.

Potential projects include:

  • Technical improvements to the product recommendation engine and its APIs.
  • Using machine learning models to predict user affinity towards certain product categories or brands.
  • Enhancing existing models through feature and model engineering, offline evaluation, and online testing.
  • Extracting product attributes from advertiser information.
  • Research on AI fairness in advertising, including studying platform behavior and proposing fixes.

Who You Are:

  • Currently in your final year of a BSc or MSc degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science).
  • Experience with traditional and modern statistical learning techniques and proficient in data processing.
  • Experience programming in high-level languages such as Python, Scala, Java, or C++.
