Requirements

CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Regional Business Services Coordinator in the Business Services Department.

The position will be based at CIMMYT headquarters in Texcoco, State of Mexico, near Mexico City.

Specific duties:

  • Lead the coordination of Business Services initiatives in Regional Offices to enhance efficiency and alignment with HQ standards.
  • Support the implementation of standardized and sustainable corporate service practices across ROs, in collaboration with HQ corporate service units.
  • Facilitate the dissemination of information and updates to ROs through well-structured communication approaches.
  • Participate in planning, monitoring, reporting, and issue management related to RO operations.
  • Assist in internal audits by coordinating document collection, management responses, and tracking the implementation of recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Global Fleet Lead to supervise fleet management in ROs.
  • Coordinate with RO staff to ensure smooth transitions and effective system utilization when implementing the new ERP.
  • Support ROs in addressing challenges and troubleshooting issues during and after ERP deployment.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely completion of procurement contracts in ROs.
  • Support the Business Services Director in the upcoming decentralization of the Regional Offices.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports summarizing RO performance, key challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as the primary liaison between ROs and HQ, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented environment.
  • Represent HQ in regional meetings, providing relevant updates and addressing issues raised by ROs.

Required qualifications, skills, and attitudes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in operational coordination, fleet management, procurement, or a related role within an international organization (preferably).
  • Advance English level (C1)
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks, policies, and operational best practices.
  • Familiarity with fleet and procurement management systems, particularly in decentralized structures.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with experience in implementation and training preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and high adaptability and cultural sensitivity for diverse regional contexts.
