About the role

As a key member of our growing M&A team, you’ll play an essential role in identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities across France and Benelux vertical software landscape. This position offers a unique chance to gain end-to-end exposure to the investment process — from sourcing and valuation to due diligence and deal execution — while actively shaping the future of our ecosystem. It’s a dynamic, hands-on role for someone eager to grow quickly, take ownership, and contribute to building the next generation of leading software companies.


What you will do


  • Identify and connect with vertical software businesses across diverse sectors. Initiate and maintain outreach and communication with potential targets, their owners, and stakeholders


  • Collect and analyse data from various sources to effectively assess potential targets (incl. proper management of all CRM processes)


  • Prepare valuations (incl. full financial model) and conduct comprehensive analyses during the origination and due diligence processes


  • Develop/revise marketing and transaction materials, as well as documentation for investment committee purposes


  • Represent Everfield in meetings with CEOs and at trade shows/conferences, with frequent travel


  • Demonstrate the capability and eagerness to manage the entire due diligence process in the future, gaining exposure to all aspects


  • Ensure all company information, calls, outreach activity is consistently and with high-quality saved in the CRM


  • (Appreciated) Start building strong relationships with CEOs, investment bankers, and industry veterans to facilitate connections with target companies


  • (Appreciated) Lead and manage specific workstreams within the due diligence process


  • (Appreciated) Enhance processes as the platform expands, continually refining the origination playbook as you gain experience as well



What we are looking for


  • Ideally, at least 1 year of experience in software/tech-based transactions at an investment bank, private equity firm or corporate development


  • Competencies



    • Professional

      • Familiar with steps of a transaction process, from sourcing, execution and closing

      • Strong analytical, financial and summarizing skills

      • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

      • Some experience in corporate finance, valuation, software valuations and specific metrics

      • Strong academical background with a Masters degree from a business or engineering school with a specialisation in finance

      • Written and spoken proficiency in French and English is a must, German or Spanish a plus

      • Understanding and curiosity about software and technology

      • Tenacious, energetic, and outgoing personality

      • Ability to adhere to process and help the team continuously improve it over time constantly adapt
