Qluster seeks a Low-Noise Electronics & Instrumentation Engineer in Paris for analogue detection and control chains used in homodyne measurements. You will collaborate with photonics scientists, FPGA engineers, and system engineers to produce stable, reproducible electronic modules.

The role emphasizes low-noise analogue electronics, photodetection, mixed-signal PCBs, and metrology. FPGA/timing or ASIC work is handled separately; this role integrates with broader system development.

Competenze

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in electronic engineering.
• Experience designing/validating low-noise analogue electronics and measurement front ends.
• Hands-on PCB design or review experience (analogue/mixed-signal).
• Strong grounding/shielding, PCB impedance control and EMI/EMC knowledge.
• Experience with lab instrumentation for frequency- and time-domain characterization.
• Experience with feedback loops and stability assessment.
• Clear documentation of requirements, schematics, tests, and results.
• Ability to trade off noise, bandwidth, gain, stability, size, and cost.

Mansioni

• Develop analogue front ends for low-noise measurement electronics.
• Design/adapt balanced photodetectors for homodyne measurements.
• Create transimpedance stages and analogue signal-conditioning chains.
• Control noise, bandwidth, stability and CMRR; manage grounding/shielding.
• Define PCB architectures with impedance control and power integrity.
• Integrate ADC/DAC considerations and clock-related performance.
• Characterize detection chains across frequency/time domains.
• Develop stabilisation electronics for analogue or mixed-signal loops.
• Collaborate with FPGA/photonic teams on interfaces and budgets.
• Prepare modular, testable electronics suitable for rack integration.
