RATP Dev Mobility Cairo is seeking a Logistics & Warehouses Technician to manage warehouse operations, inventory, and materials flow. You will apply FIFO, 5S, and Maximo CMMS to ensure accurate records, timely deliveries, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

This role collaborates with warehouse staff and maintenance teams to optimize space, maintain equipment, and support procurement through precise documentation.

Responsabilités

• Organize and store materials in the warehouse following established processes.

• Operate Maximo CMMS to update stock and issue materials.

Job Purpose

The Logistics & Warehouses Technician is a vital role within the organization, responsible for the efficient management of warehouse operations, including the safe handling of materials, inventory control, and the timely delivery of supplies. By maintaining accurate records in CMMS (Maximo), optimizing warehouse practices, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, the technician supports seamless logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials to meet business needs. The technician also plays a key role in applying best practices, such as FIFO and 5S, to promote a well-organized, safe, and high-performing warehouse environment.

Responsibilities/Duties

Inventory Management

• Organize and store materials in the warehouse according to established processes and procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with periodic inventory counts.
• Ensure all outgoing shipments are labeled and documented according to company procedures.
• Pick stock based on the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

Order Fulfillment

• Prepare material receiving reports for accepted goods or a receiving rejection report for returns to suppliers if materials are not up to specifications.
• Fulfill material requests from different departments as per schedules or Maximo requests.
• Ensure materials are issued in compliance with the relevant specifications and quality standards.

Quality Control

• Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet quality standards as per the purchase order and procurement department guidelines.
• Report any damaged or defective items to the appropriate personnel.
• Inspect received materials, ensuring the proper quantity, condition, and inclusion of required certificates (e.g., Certificates of Conformity and Testing, where applicable).

Documentation And Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, shipments, and receipts.
• Generate reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, and material conditions.
• Support operations and maintenance with the goods receipt process and materials acceptance.

Cleaning And Organization

• Maintain a clean, organized, and accessible warehouse environment to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist with the arrangement of materials and products to optimize space and workflow.

Technical Support

• Assist in setting up and maintaining warehouse systems and technologies.
• Troubleshoot any issues related to inventory management systems or warehouse equipment.

Collaboration And Communication

• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members to align on tasks and priorities.

Spare Parts And Tool Management

• Manage spare parts and tools, ensuring final take-over from the customer (NAT).
• Oversee the collection of tools requiring calibration.

5S Methodology Implementation

• Apply 5S methodology within storerooms to ensure continuous improvements in organization and efficiency.

Safety

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Participate in safety training programs and support the development of safety practices within the warehouse.
• Take appropriate actions to dispose of scrap materials following company procedures.
• Ensure proper safety measures are followed during the operation of warehouse equipment.

Maximo

• Update Maximo with data related to received stock, ensuring accurate inventory records.
• Issue materials to departments based on scheduled requests and Maximo stock orders.
• Utilize Maximo for generating stock issue requests and maintaining real-time inventory data.

Additional Responsibilities

• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or warehouse management team.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Forklift certification and proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
• Training in materials handling and health & safety procedures.
• Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).

Knowledge

• Familiarity with standard warehouse practices such as FIFO and 5S.
• Understanding of inventory management principles and proper bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of safety protocols, quality control standards, and best practices for material handling.
• Knowledge of spare parts management and calibration processes.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management.
• Experience in receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing materials.Proficient in CMMS, particularly Maximo, for managing inventory.
• Hands‑on experience with warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
