- Is part of the Supply Chain Continuous Improvement & Projects teams of the Business Area, focusing on Logistics continuous improvement projects
- Is the point of contact of the business area for wide projects such as Transwide rollout, DBS EDI / interface, transport pre-billing,...
The Logistics Project Manager works hands in hands with the Corporate teams and with the Business Area Logistics colleagues
- Is referent in his / her field of expertise, ensuring ad hoc training sessions and continuously contributing to the knowledge transfer towards the users
Responsibilities
Project management
- Leads continuous improvement projects to improve overall efficiency (both qualitative and quantitative) for the BA or be an active stakeholder for transversal projects across Imerys.
- As a referent for the Business Area Performance Minerals EMEA, is the point of contact & relay for Corporate projects
- Support the logistics colleagues to be sure that the knowledge is well anchored and ensure needed support
- Ensures knowledge sharing across the Business Area by facilitating regular webinars / good practices sharing events
- Interacts beyond the Performance Minerals EMEA perimeter with the other Business Areas to benchmark and identify new solutions
- Maintain logistics optimization expertise and stay up-to-date with available tools and techniques
Analysis
- Perform analysis or Is involved in the preparation of the data collection and analysis to assess, drive and follow up initiatives
- Design and develop optimized logistics plans to achieve costs savings and / or service improvements in collaboration with the Logistics, Corporate teams, Purchasing teams,...
- Develop customer satisfaction by identifying rooms for improvement for our internal stakeholders, customers in collaboration with sales
- Design reporting tools on the efficiency of the Logistics flows and update / share them.
Accountability
- Logistic costs saving plans implementation
Competencies and experience
5 years experience in logistics or supply chain positions
- Strong understanding of a logistics organisation
- Continuous improvement mindset and basic tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa, brainstorming, PDCA,A3 …)
- Project management
- Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
- Very good communication skills with ability to address a topic at different hierarchical levels
- At ease in a matrix environment with cross functional interactions
- Autonomous, comfortable with remote management
- Rigorous & at ease with data management
- Capacity to drive change and facilitate change management
- Very good analytical & IT reasoning skills. (TMS, SAP, Google,...)
Ideal background / experience
- Bachelor or Master with Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations specialization
- Experienced in project management
