Logistics Manager

Since 1978, our Group has been constantly growing and innovating to offer its customers increasingly efficient maritime, land, air, and logistics solutions. Driven by a strong desire to design ever more effective solutions to serve a world in motion, the Group launched CMA CGM AIR CARGO in 2021, thereby expanding its transport and logistics offering. It has also recently grown with the acquisition of the Belgian company "Air Belgium."

Already equipped with a fleet of 4 long-haul aircraft (1 A330F and 3 B777Fs), it will be further reinforced with eight Airbus A350Fs by 2027, making CMA CGM AIR CARGO the launch operator of this new aircraft. Moreover, thanks to support from a partner, AIR CARGO now operates on the transpacific route with two additional B777Fs that we own.

As part of its expansion, CMA CGM Air Cargo is recruiting a Logistics Manager for its technical department.

RESPONSABILITIES

Working for a fast-growing cargo airline in a dynamic environment, as part of the Technical Department, you will be responsible for the supply of materials required for aircraft maintenance and the administrative management of off-duty materials, in particular :

  • Manage and improve the system for effective supply management in line with the CMA CGM Group's purchasing policy;
  • Coordinate, administer, and monitor short-term supply requirements in conjunction with CAMO, MCC, and stations;
  • Monitor and manage MEL, CDL, and ADD requirements in order to minimize operational disruptions;
  • Decide on the most appropriate and economical supply solution;
  • Coordinate the movement of parts internally and to the required point of use, taking customs aspects into account;
  • Communicate the status of material requirements;
  • Monitor and ensure optimal return of rentals and loans;
  • Define minimum stock levels and manage and replenish stocks at stopovers;
  • Initiate and monitor warranty claims with equipment manufacturers and suppliers;
  • Ensure inventory valuation and report the situation to the finance department on a monthly basis;
  • Help improve the flow of parts under pool contracts (requisitions, return deadlines for counterparties) by ensuring that the information system is up to date;
  • Organize the repair of equipments not covered by a pool contract;
  • Participate in the selection of suppliers in collaboration with the company's purchasing department;
  • Maintain the vendor database (onboarding of new suppliers) and share contacts with all MCC, Techrep, and CAMO employees

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

  • Significant experience in purchasing and/or logistics.
  • Professional experience in an airline/MRO/OEM/PART145 appreciated.
  • Fluent in technical English.
  • Autonomy, rigour, punctuality.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, anticipation skills, reporting skills, responsiveness.
