In this leadership role, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our logistics and warehouse team, managing the receipt, storage, inventory, and distribution of vital equipment and supplies. You’ll also coordinate the efforts of Logistics Technicians to deliver efficient, accurate support that directly impacts the safety and readiness of our crews.

- Identifies appropriate solutions and equipment for a vast array of requests, does so in a timely and cost-effective manner within budget and procurement guidelines.
- Evaluates, develops and implements processes to ensure efficient methods for the inventory and distribution of equipment.
- Develop systems to maintain uniformity and accuracy in processes. Implement measures to manage loss prevention and damage.
- Manages warehouse staff in daily operations and special projects. Trains and evaluates staff performance.
- Maintains various databases, case file inventory, and schedules.
- Manages, coordinates, and oversees the department's maintenance, testing, repair, and replacement programs for tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Coordinates and oversees the inventory, distribution, and collection of personal safety equipment to designated personnel; assists in the coordination and management of equipment and supplies.
- Responsible for the annual inventory process, maintains perpetual inventory control, and facilitates the purchasing of supplies as required; Ensures all functions under charge are performed in accordance with Florida Statutes, NFPA, and established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work.
- Examine expenditures to monitor budget compliance and provide supporting documentation for the department's operating and capital budget.
- Maintains and updates critical logs, records, backup files, lists, and accounts, as applicable to the assigned functional area using personal computers and Excel spreadsheets.
- Reviews and codes invoices for payment, verifying that the item(s), quantities, and pricing are in accordance with the purchase order and contract pricing.
- Serves as a contact with vendors for researching and resolving problems related to the receipt of supplies and expediting procurement of goods.

- Performs other duties as assigned/necessary which are related or logical in assignment to the position.
- Ability to understand, interpret and implement established procedures, departmental guidelines, asset inventory, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work.
- Considerable knowledge of pre-established local, State, and Federal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with management, employees, other departments, officials, and the general public, knowledge of the principles and techniques of customer service skills.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment e.g., computer terminals, personal computers, printers, copy machines, telephone systems, and facsimile machines.
Education/Experience:Associate degree supplemented by two (2) years of responsible experience in government or business administration; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of Logistics warehouse experience at a supervisor level. Must have the demonstrated ability to use software efficiently.- Preferred knowledge of Fire/EMS office procedures and equipment; knowledge of commonly used supplies and equipment of the Fire/EMS industry.
- Considerable knowledge of warehouse management as well as supply chain management principles and processes.

Language Ability:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
