Shipyard Logistics Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shipyard Logistics Manager to oversee all aspects of logistics operations in a busy refit shipyard in Marseille. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the transportation and delivery of high-value items for international shipping, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across a site that can work across up to 15 large-scale luxury vessels.

Reporting into the General Manager, responsibilities will include:

1. Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize operations and enhance efficiency.
2. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery and adherence to shipping regulations.
3. Manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary resources for shipping activities.
4. Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
5. Lead a team in stores and logistics, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
6. Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute logistics operations.
7. Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure smooth shipping processes.
8. Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
9. Supervise and guide logistics team members.
10. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and international trade requirements.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics management, particularly in the international shipping of high-value items.
• Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, customs clearance processes, and international trade compliance.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and tools for tracking and monitoring shipments.
