This position shall manage with a high level of quality, effective and efficient leadership to ensure Logistic support service fully compliant with local and international Customs legislation.
The role shall be responsible for the DOAF logistical team in its core office in Sete France and sub locations in Africa with routine travel to DOAF and Project work locations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic logistics partnerships to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations.
- Promote and implement optimized logistics processes aligned with business goals and project requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international customs regulations prior to freight import and export activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute and continuously improve key logistics routines with measurable outcomes.
- Serve as the onshore mobilization coordinator when required, supporting project mobilization through crew meet-and-greet / transfer, vessel logistics (in-port and offshore), and equipment / asset movements.
- Assess and arrange appropriate freight insurance on a case-by-case basis to mitigate transportation risks.
- Ensure supplier compliance with all commercial terms to reduce financial and operational risk to the company.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Group or Line Manager.
- Lead, manage, and support the development of your logistics team.
- Act as the regional logistics focal point, fostering collaboration across different locations and regions.
- Champion Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of regional logistics facilities, including warehousing, storage, and related infrastructure.
- Provide regular business and project-specific reports to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate proactively with the regional Project and Operations teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.

Education, Qualifications, Experience
Certified knowledge and practical application of IATA Regulations
Solid understanding of Transport Regulations (local and international)
Proven experience in Commercial Negotiation
Previous experience in freight forwarding or as a shipping agent
Exposure to complex international logistics operations
Senior-level experience, with the maturity and judgment expected in a leadership role
Willingness and ability to travel or relocate within Africa and Europe as required
Extensive logistics experience in multi-project environments , ideally within the Oil & Gas industry
In-depth knowledge of global customs regulations and import / export compliance procedures
