About the role : STERRY Limited is seeking a Marketing Manager focusing on Europe (particularly Germany, France, Spain, and Italy) in a remote setup. Key qualifications and skills are essential for managing diverse markets and working across various cultures.
Qualifications : Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields. A Master’s degree (optional) in International Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Business Administration is advantageous.
Experience: Proven experience in marketing management, especially within a digital marketing agency environment. Experience in international markets or with clients in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, or Europe. Understanding cultural nuances is crucial. Experience working remotely or in distributed teams is highly desirable. A track record of successful campaigns across various marketing channels (social media, SEO, PPC, email, content marketing, etc.) within the European context. Project management experience handling multi-channel, multi-market campaigns simultaneously.
Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Fluency or advanced proficiency in German, French, Spanish, or Italian is highly advantageous, depending on the focus region. Understanding local marketing and consumer trends in these countries is a plus.
Technical & Digital Marketing Skills: Proficiency with digital marketing strategies and tools such as SEO, SEM (Google Ads), content marketing, social media, affiliate marketing, and influencer marketing. Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp). Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Tableau) for tracking KPIs, managing data, and optimizing campaigns. Content creation and strategy, tailored to European markets.
Cultural Understanding: Deep understanding of local consumer behavior in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the ability to tailor strategies accordingly. Sensitivity to local regulations like GDPR and advertising standards. Ability to localize campaigns in language, imagery, tone, and channels.
Leadership & Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Leadership qualities to manage, inspire, and mentor remote teams. Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (design, content, development, sales) remotely.
Strategy & Analytical Skills: Strategic thinking to design and implement effective marketing strategies aligned with business goals. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and optimize campaigns. Budget management experience for resource allocation across markets and campaigns.
Adaptability & Flexibility: Ability to work across different time zones, adapt to team and client needs in multiple regions, and pivot strategies as needed in a dynamic remote environment.
Client Relationship Management: Strong skills in building and managing client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention. Experience in client presentations and clear reporting. Proactive communication and strategic recommendations based on market trends and campaign results.
Tools and Platforms: Proficiency with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Trello, Asana). Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Pipedrive). Knowledge of ad management platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads).
Certifications (Optional): Google Ads and Analytics, HubSpot Inbound Marketing, Facebook Blueprint, SEMrush or Moz certifications.
Soft Skills: Creative problem-solving, time management, self-discipline, and a proactive entrepreneurial mindset to thrive in a remote, evolving marketing landscape.
Other Qualifications: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) and B2B/ABM strategies if relevant. A network of local partners or influencers in target markets is a plus.
