L'olivier Assurance, part of Admiral Group Plc, is seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer to lead local governance in Lille. You will collaborate with European and UK risk teams, manage incidents, and drive privacy initiatives across insurance operations.

The role requires strong legal expertise in EU data protection laws, French fluency, and the ability to oversee training and assurance at the local level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and Master’s in Data Protection or related field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on data protection experience in regulated industry or consultancy.
• High-level proficiency in French and European data protection laws; insurance knowledge is a plus.
• Fluency in French and English; about 75% of work in English.

Responsabilités

• Support local data protection governance and update policies.
• Lead Privacy by Design assessments for new products and services.
• Provide data protection advisory to the business and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Manage data incident response and breach notification procedures.
• Engage with local Data Protection Authorities in the local language.
• Engage data subjects and manage rights requests.
• Produce and report data protection KPIs to EU DPO and local governance bodies.
• Lead local privacy training and awareness programmes.
• Oversee local data protection assurance and controls.
