AXA Group is seeking a Linux Engineer to join the Build Team, ensuring service delivery for AXA Partners. This role involves engineering, testing solutions, and managing cross-team collaboration within a proactive maintenance strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive Linux experience and a strong understanding of DevOps methodologies, infrastructure technologies, and the ITIL process.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience with Git and Puppet or configuration management tools.
  • Very good expertise in assigned technologies.

Description du poste

The server infrastructure is key in our ability to provide service delivery for the AXA Partners. Therefore, a well-managed environment is essential.

As part of the Linux Build Team, proactive work, expertise, capacity management, and strict adherence to ITIL process is a must to ensure service availability is maintained.

There also needs to be a strong focus on strategic view,including engagement with the Global team, and technology evolution to ensure the platform remains fit for purpose.

The daily work will be tracked over the Agile methodology, in order to deliver features / evolutions in time.

To be a technical expert in the Linux product domain acting in a Build squad. This is a technical role including analysis, engineering, technical lead and project to meet the requirements AXA GO & Partners.

This person is able to work in an Agile OS product Team within a multinational team supporting Axa Partners across Europe and Globally

Missions :

  • Engineer (Build) and test solutions, document accordingly and handover to operations team.
  • Support teams doing the 3rd level support to the operations function (on & offshore).
  • Act as SME and undertake project activities.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives ( Automation, documentation & transition to offshore team)
  • Support pro-active maintenance, including software upgrades, patching, hardening, vulnerability management, capacity management, inventory management.
  • Ensure that solutions delivered meet AXA GO strategy.
  • Ensure audit compliance is maintained to agreed levels.

Measures :

  • Project tasks completed to “on time, on budget on specification” (OTOBOS) standard
  • Meet TargConet Letter KPI for man-days lost because of P1 incidents
  • Zero outages resulting from lack of maintenance, inadequately planned changes, etc.
  • Performance issues are identified and resolved with no customer impact
  • Audit / compliance deliverables maintained within deadlines

Your Profile

Skills :

  • A successful computer science education (University, Technical College etc.) is a big plus.
  • At Least, 5 years of professional experience gained in respective areas.
  • Experience working with Devops methodologies using Git and Puppet, or one of the major configuration management toolsets Ansible / Salt / Chef.
  • Very good expertise in one or more of the assigned technologies, respective multi-year hands on and vendor-approved accreditations.
  • Have interest in Infrastructure technologies (Network, virtualization, OS, storage, middlewares, …) allowing to have pro-active and efficient discussions with various AXA Go teams to bring solutions during incidents or projects.
  • Process oriented thinking, structured approach and familiarity with the ITIL process of an international enterprise scale IT Service delivery organisation with offshore presence.

Technical skills :

  • Redhat Enterprise Linux and / or Centos 5-9.
  • Linux or Unix servers of any-distro in numbers 100’s-1000’s of servers.
  • Redhat Satellite / DS389 / OpenLDAP would be a plus
  • AWS / AZURE
  • Terraform
