Job summary

BCD Meetings & Events is seeking a Project Manager – Meetings (Life Science) in Paris to lead client events from source to on-site execution across multiple programs. You’ll be the day-to-day planning contact for each Client Event Organizer, coordinating with clients and vendors to ensure seamless experiences.

You will manage budgets, oversee vendor negotiations, handle attendee registrations, build event websites, and ensure reporting and compliance, with travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Sound experience in meeting/program planning.
• Experience on a Life Sciences client.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• French and English language proficient in both oral and written communications.
• Travel industry and destination knowledge.
• Up to 25% travel (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Program Development & Execution: Oversee planning and execution of programs with timelines and client financial controls.
• Client Management: Provide advice on best practices, compliance, and cost savings.
• Budget Management: Create and communicate budgets with final reconciled figures.
• Vendor Relations: Manage supplier negotiations and relationships with high service standards.
• Sourcing & Contracting: Conduct venue research, budgeting, and manage e-RFP processes.
• Attendee Management: Track attrition, registrations, and hotel room blocks/cancellations.
• Technology Management: Build client websites for information collection and registration.
• Reporting & Compliance: Meet deadlines for reporting, audits, and supplier billing.
• Process Improvement: Develop SOPs and best practices across regions.
